We had soft LUD on our cases as well, for both my wife and me. Hope it will be all good. My Atty mailed the application on 6/31 and it was receipted on 09/07/07.

Once they accept I-485 in the system then they give us a Receipt#, with that Receipt we can file for EAD / AP (as long as your PD becomes available) then they will process your I-485, Just thinking.. what do you say guys ... Please lete me know.. Receipt Date Vs Visa Number ...

You can file EAD/AP together with 485. That's how I did (actually I140 PP was in the same package too). Sent on 6/21 to I140PP address. Had all the receipts beginning of July.

Hate to be repetitive, so just read my prev response.

Here is my point. I spend several hours 3-4 hours at least every day looking through the forum posts hoping to find ways i can contribute to efforts. There are several ideas that are generated in the forum. But cannot find out who is leading it. All i am saying is if we can have a listing of initiatives with some names associated. So i can contribute to the ones that i can support.
I am not sure if i am asking for too much here. I am not a IT guy. I do not know what it takes to post it in the front page.

Volunteer is a person who takes responsibility and does a task. Here the question was raised to have new leaders who can take a flight to Washington DC on Monday morning, change the law by noon to issue GC to every EB category, have a lunch at Olive Garden, come back monday evening.

I strongly suggest you listen to the audio interview to understand how big the hispanic

Yes. Is there any Legislation/or anything that can be worked on to make it a Law for getting Citizenship application eligibility after 5 years (or 6 years considering time to process fingerprint/medical/etc..) of I-485 application Provided, it is been Pending for years becoz of Visa-Unavailability from state.
Does any one among the Core IV committee aware or any such point?
If anything best the Core IV can do for all us, then it should be this one. Not sure what is their opinion about it. At least we should try for it since it is covering majority of us to get benefited.

Not everyone from 2003 landed in the BECs. In those days, the processing time depended a lot on the state where the labor was filed from (and also on whether the case was filed in the RIR track, or the Non RIR track). My PD was Aug 2003 in the Non RIR track in MA. A friend of mine had a PD of May 2003 in the RIR track, also from MA. His labor was cleared in early 2004 before the BEC hell began. I got stuck in BEC. As luck would have it, retrogression struck and now we are both in the same boat!

Send your recommendations to USCIS/DOL and your certification about bsc and bcom. Also enlighten us with your larger perspective of how this multinational executive making 32K per annum adding more jobs/potential to the economy.
I have nothing to recommend to them as things are fine as they are. And there will be no recommendation coming from me to close any door at all, whether it be for EB2 or anyone else.

I have somebody in my family who is suffering from an incurable disease , thus I wan't to stay in this country till a medicine comes out. This country is known as the pioneer in the reserach of medicines . It may take 10 years for it to be in market but it may take another 25 years to be in India. Whatever the reasons - its apparent USCIS is not following the AC21 regulations and it is not fair. I believe, AC21 regulations are made with an objective of improving immigration rules for 21st century (and thus the name American Competetiveness for 21st century) and provide some mobility for the applicants while their GC applications are pending. The delay in application processing is still relevant (actually its more severe) - irrespective of whether its caused by processing or because of lack of visa numbers. AC21 regulations never mentioned about the origin of delay or the longivity of applicant with original company. Changing interpretation of a rule they made, that too without notice is unfair and maybe even unlawful.
So far I was thinking that its a case of misinformed IO rejecting I485 once they see a I140 revocation. But rejecting MTR on the grounds that employee has left the company on his/her own and so does not have intent of continuing in the job is just plain twisting of their own rules. And we need a much bigger effort - if its a case of a few misinformed USCIS employees incorrectly rejecting I485 - then it could have been fixed with a low key effort that we are doing. We are seeing more rejections based on unknown "interpretations" - and even MTR getting rejected - it kind of gives a feeling that they have a bigger agenda here and we need to fight on a bigger scale.
If a guy lawfully changed the job after 180 days of 485 filing, it is remain valid even if employer revokes already approved 140. Only solution to overcome this MTR, is taking this to court. In the case of dispute between employee and employer regarding "intent", the employee will have more leverage if he had a considerable period of employment relationship sponsor.

My recepit date was however July 2nd 2007. Are they processing my application or they go by received date of 8/17?

no one knows..if u call up the cust service ppl.. they will say we received it on aug 17th..so thats the RD..we know better...but doesnt get us anywhere
