Hello Attorneys,
My company recently moved offices to a new location just a few miles from the old location. Its in an adjacent county but with in the same state. We moved from Northbrook, IL to Deerfield IL, does this warrant a change in LCA/H1B?
Please advise.

The New York Times today reports on a surgery that is heroic in scope. Japanese-born Tomoaki Kato, a surgeon at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia led a 43-hour operation to remove a massive tumor(the size of a football) that had engulfed the liver and other vital organs of a 59 year old man who had been told the tumor was inoperable. Dr. Kato is a pioneer in ex vivo resections which are surgeries where the affected organs are taken outside the body, operated on to remove tumors and then sewed back in. Hi, I need your expertise, please help me. Following is my situation.
My EB3 labor priorty date was June 2003 was in pending, later same company filed in EB2 and I 140 got approved in Dec 2005.
I filed I 485 application in july 2007 and I applied in so hurry, I forgot to send a copy of I 140 approval as part of 485 filing. I got all the receipt notices.
My EB3 labor got approved before my 485 filing and I140 got approved this month
I would like to port the EB3 priority date. Please input your suggestions.

Hi all,
I am resident of CA and have my I140 application approved from Nebraska. My I485 application was filed in TSC. Is this a issue since according to USCIS, CA residents should file in the NSC. Will my I485 will be rejected because of this issue.

Hi, this might not be the right forum for my question but at least I am hoping that I can either can an answer or steered to the correct direction. So I quit my job in the US about a month ago because I was immigrating to another country. My job was located in Arizona and I immigrated to Israel. My company knew this was the reason I was quitting. So I am wondering if I should have received a severance package or unemployment benefits because of the reason of immigrating to another country.

Guys, applied recently for EAD and its pending and 180 days has not passed. I am planning to open a part time business. Does anyone know if its ok to start a part time business before the EAD gets approved ? Any insights will be appreciated.

If you draw salary as an employee of the business, it is a problem. Consult an immigration attorney. You cannot take up any work other than what is approved as part of your H1-B.

Yes, you can ask CIS to extend the RFE deadline and explain the circumstances. It is critical to make this request before the first deadline has passed.

My current employer 'C' is in the process of filing Labor certification. I have to fill out Form # 9089 and give it back to my employer with past employment specifics.
I left my past employer 'A' on 9/23/2005, though was paid till 9/30. For the next month or so I was at home looking for a job on my own. When I did get successful I approached a consultant 'B' who filed for my H1-B transfer and offered me a appointment letter. We together kept looking for a job till 11/29 when I actually started working. When I got experience letter from these employers they told me that it is from the start of project date that you were on payroll. I am also sure that my employer 'A' did not inform the INS immediately but took about 15-20 days to send a letter after I had left.
My question is what dates should I put on the form, the actual dates or the ones I have on appointment letter

Can we close all the thread ..its becoming tough to track the issues. Right now we need 3 thread only to cover the July fiasco , June trackers and misc. contributions and media drives and IV core announcements will be there always
