Send your recommendations to USCIS/DOL and your certification about bsc and bcom. Also enlighten us with your larger perspective of how this multinational executive making 32K per annum adding more jobs/potential to the economy.
I have nothing to recommend to them as things are fine as they are. And there will be no recommendation coming from me to close any door at all, whether it be for EB2 or anyone else.

To shut down a program because of a few mis-users : I am sure you WONT agree to extend this logic to your precious EB2 application when someone points out how someone else misused it

Hey,
This is the check list I used when I submitted my AC21 paper work last November when I moved out of my GC Sponsoring employer.
1. Cover letter mentioning you have all the eligibility to invoke AC21 after 180 days of filing your AOS and if your I140 is approved and as long as the roles and responsibilities are same or similar.
2. Attach an employer letter stating the job responsibilties mentioned on your Labour Certification petition along with your designation (Make sure it matches with one on your labour petition too). Make sure your employer adds something like providing employment even after your adjustment of status and its a permanent offer.
3. Attach approved I140 notice and pending I485 receipt
4. Attach your PERM/Regular LC petition.
5. Attach a copy of the AC21 memo which will remind there is a Govt Memo out to support your AC21..
This should help your case. I wish you success.

It would have been amazing if senator added 10K for each recaptured EB VISA. That would have given 1B dollars for the border security(If only senator wanted to help the so called product developing H1Bs).

I worked for a MNC here in first few yrs at US (from 2000) and they suck up your Tax return , used to give a worthless health insurance and 'sweat shop' ( this probably a worse word than 'chop shop') like allowance for 12-14 hrs of work . If you do NOT accept that or ASK QUESTION your flight tickets back to origin to will be arranged. I know these practices changed to some extent over a period of time but by that time I left them and started doing things on my own ... :) and i'm very happy since then.
Another thing , I worked for good but medium sized consulting firms with US after leaving those shops ( sweat/chop/body whatever kind u call them) and they do maintain perfect balance - hardly 30-40% is H1B - they pay market salary to the H1B's ,standard health insurance , always got paid if i worked beyond 8-9 hrs ...

Not true. Whatever they can outsource, its already gone. There are certain position where the clients demand onsite resource. I am not supporting this bill in anyway, I hate infy as much as I hate this bill. Remember these companies did not leave any stone unturned, milked the client every possible way and expoilted the employees to the maximum extent. In one another post - VLDRao was saying these companies does the tax filing on behalf the emoloyee, get the refund and again claim that tax in india using double taxation aoivdance treaty.

I was able to convince a friend, who has been a green card holder for the past 5-6 years & never suffered the green card retrogression, to support us & contribute to our cause. Made a one time payment of 100$ through paypal.
Very thankful to my friend for having understood our problems & supporting without a flinch!!!!

This would suck for older priority dates.
My priority date is March, 2002!! Application was delivered to Nebraska on June 15th but the Receipt date is in mid-July.
So all those filers with priority dates after me (did not come across any with PD older than mine) that got their receipt notices before me would jump ahead in line!! Who knows how many years more...
Hopefully they will change their procedure after this fiasco to go by Priority Dates first and then the receipt dates.

The date of the I-140 approval matters just in case the visa dates are retrogressed again before your case is adjudicated, in which case it will be better the longer the delay on your 140 approval. See examlpe 5 in raju123's posting above.

It seems that under the new law his cutoff date is Jun 1 since that is when my priority date will be current so as long as he applies for a green card within one year he is ok.
So if we apply concurrently when is his green card application deemed to have been applied for? When we file concurrently or only when and if the 140is approved.

I got my I140 approved in just 3 months (filed in Jul'08 and approved in oct'08) .. My I140 was filed in EB2 at NSC...

the numbers may be exaggerated, but it doesnot change the facts..
even if we agree that its going to be 500k with 15-20% of them being indians, we still have a long wait ahead of us.
Rather than fighting among ourselves, we should channel our frustration/anger towards the fight for :
adding back unused visa numbers,
increase in GC numbers.
We can express our support to Senator Lofgren or whoever is leading this effort.
While we enjoy the interim benefits, our fight for permanent solution should not be obscured by it.
