Hello!
I am pursuing part-time MBA while working for a company which has sponsored my GC. I am on EAD based on EB3 filing with PD of March 2005.
I plan to do a summer internship (10-12 weeks) at another company and need to understand the risks. This internship would be 40-hr/week so I will have to either
* quit my job and then search for another full-time job after internship is over, or
* take a Leave of Absence (LoA) for 3 months and come back to my current job
The first option is obviously very risky so I am inclined towards the second option though I don't know if my employer will grant me LoA. Could you please advice me whether doing an internship will be an issue later when my PD becomes current.
Thank you!!

Dear Friends,
I am traveling to canada for a conference. My H1-B is stamped on my old passport valid till 2012. In January 2010 I obtained a new passport from the indian embassy chicago as my old passport was getting expired. I will be traveling with both the passports.
Is it mandatory to transfer the visa from old to new pasport ?
Please help,
sounak

Hi,
I have applied for COS from L1-B to L1-A and received an RFE which we have responded to.
The application is still pending with USCIS, while my I-94 is expiring on 07/31
What will happen if I do not receive decision before expiry of my I-94? Will I be out of status after the I-94 expiry date.
I have my I-485 pending as well (I-140 approved) and have EAD but not used.
Thanks

Hi all,
I am a consultant working on H1B and my 3rd yr of visa expires in march 2011.
Im planning to file my GC through my current employer in EB2 category(As I have a masters degree) but have following queries :
1.My company is a small company with only 2 employees i.e. me and my manager.
If i do file my GC through such a company, whats are the pros and cons e.g. any RFE expected because its a small company considering that have already had an RFE when transferring my H1B to this company earlier.
2.Can I file my GC through a different employer say my end client or any other company while im working with my current employer?
3.Considering the above situations, what is the best option for me to file my GC at tis point of time?
Also filing my GC in EB2 category will help avid processing delays as per the current trend?
Please advise.
Thanks for your time.

Sid

Vivek Wadhwa has a cool new proposal for a visa targeted toward entrepreneurs with great ideas and start up capital to launch new enterprises. Here's some of what he writes in Businessweek: Here's how it would work. Suppose a talented engineer who is not a U.S. citizen has a great idea for a new type of search engine and wants to start a company. This entrepreneur wants to start that company in the U.S., where venture capital markets are the most mature, intellectual property laws are strong, and the talent level is high. It turns out that the would-be founder's...

Hi,
Recently I transferred my H1 to another company. My H1 and my wifes H4 got expired on last August 2nd 2007. However, the new company filed H1B application and it got approved 2 weeks back, but forgot to file for H4 extension for my wife. My company is saying they will file for H4 extension (I-539) now, even though her visa/I-94 got expired and she doesnt have to go back home. Do you think they are on right track? Id really appreciate if anyone could suggest me on this.

Please be advised that the Nebraska Service Center (NSC) has been experiencing delays in the processing of I-765 EADs and I-131 Advance Paroles. Therefore, we recommend that EAD and AP renewals be filed 4 months prior to the expiration date, the earliest date USCIS will accept renewal applications. For EAD applications that have been pending for more than 90 days, an interim EAD card can be issued. Please contact our office for assistance with expedite procedures for your pending I-765 or I-131 application if your current work authorization is about to expire or if you have an emergent need to travel.

I am not anti-Sigma either, but I do not believe anything the produce from a digital body perspective (no pun intended) is going to influence, or drive down Canon or Nikon pro body prices. Build quality and other features keep the C and N scads ahead.
