This is my current status
I am on H1 B visa and currently working in the US. My visa expires in July, 2011.
I was sent to the US on a long term onsite assignment from the company I was working in bangalore, India. I am asked to come back to India in June 2010.
What are the implications of me quitting thecurrent job once I go back to India? Is my H1 B visa still valid?
In case if I go back to India and move to a different company, do I have to go through everything starting from filing the H1 petition to get the H1 visa?

My employer mentioned that my job description is Senior Analyst in the application. Does that mean I have to be a Senior Analyst till the time I get GC ? Cant I take up another job like Architect ?
Also, for 140 application do I have to sign on any PERM labor related document ?

Hello,
I have attended Toronto consulate on Apr 18th for my 7th yr h1b stamping. I have i140 approval. The consul gave me 221g yellow form and later received 2 emails asking for some documents which I submitted. I still have not heard any response and I understand it could take months before I get any answer. My question is can I leave Canada and go to India while the process is in review and come back to Canada if and when my H1b stamping is approved. I have multiple entry visa to Canada so I could potentially come back. My question is can I leave Canada while my visa is under process and would it have any affect?

I'm Australian and would like to return to the U.S. to visit in-laws with my partner but I overstayed my visa on my last visit.
On my last visit, I received a 6-month visitor visa then extended my visa another 6 months. I overstayed my visa by 11 weeks; I was helping my same-sex partner move. This was two years ago. I did not work for anyone while in the States.
What can I do if any to improve my chances of not getting turned away at Immigration?

I am looking for H1 Transfer with 4 months left in H1 six year limit .I lost my job 10 days back.I have approved I-140 but its has not been six months yet after approval .I have not yet filed 485 .
Will I qualify for 3 year H1 extension based on my approved I-140 .?

Hi,
Currently i am working as full time employee on H1B, receiving W2. I have EAD valid until Oct 2010.
Can i use EAD to work part time and receive 1099 as income statement? If i use EAD / 1099 will this cause an issue for I-485 approval (AOS is pending) ?
